Find somewhere to play

Adult baseball, slow-pitch and fast-pitch softball, Little League, travel ball, batting cages, camps — and how to become an umpire. Choose your state.

What kind of ball?

Adult baseball

Wood-bat and amateur leagues for players who never stopped — usually organised by age bracket (18+, 28+, 38+ and up).

Slow-pitch softball

The biggest recreational sport in the country. Men's, women's and co-ed, usually one night a week.

Fast-pitch softball

Travel and adult fast-pitch, plus the youth programmes that feed them.

Little League & youth

Sign-ups usually open in the winter for a spring season. Check the league's boundary map before you register.

Travel & club ball

A bigger commitment than rec ball, in time and in money — ask about the full season cost before tryouts.

Batting cages & indoor

Cages, tunnels and winter training space.

Camps & clinics

School holiday camps, position clinics and skills sessions.

Umpires & scorekeepers

Most associations are short of officials and will train you from scratch — it pays, too.
